Had quite a busy day, replaced my offside dipped light, which required dismantling more than i would have expected. I also sealed the minor leak in my radiator with radweld (cheers bigol). Finally i decided to wash the car with my new Flash car wash kit, which i bought at the weekend. I was dubious about it cos they usually make floor cleaner lol, but i am now a total convert. It works a real treat ...not one streak or watermark without, yes, without handrying!!! praise the lord. ;D was a bit wierd washing with cold water, but it really works, the water comes off in sheets and beacause of the deionized water spray, no droplets form. Im used to going round the car windows after cleaning with some alcohol and tissues, to get rid of the marks...not anymore. I recommend you give it a try if you cant stand handrying. heres the site www.freshliving.com/flashcarwash/home.htm

aye it was 20 quid form halfords, seems a bit expensive, but i thought id give it a go (i had just won 110 quid on the national ). it does come with quite a cool hose attachment though, which covers all the functions, rinse, wash, dry. It kinda looks like a jig saw with no blade

Their website says it will do 3 washes. Is this optimistic and how much is the refill filter and shampoo.

Well when the weather is good again I'm going to get the car valet guy out to do my 206 over nice and good, clean in and out (it's a ball ache getting it all clean) Spent a good couple of hours Saturday morning cleaning it and getting the alloys buffed up, and the drive back from London last night crammed at least a hundred bugs on the front of the car... yes... the bug season is coming back already

the thing that got me was the windows, my pet hate cos marks stand out on them against my moonstone paintwork. absolutely immaculate they were

Yeah i've tryed the flash wash as well - it did a fantastic job! Highlighted some scratches on my wing tho Last night for lazyness I lanced the car at Tesco's jet wash - that did'nt to bad a job either! One thing I've noted when cleaning the 206 is the rubber strip that goes along the doors - if you don't jet water into it from the top, it collects dirty water, mud etc inside and when the car is drying off you get lovely streaks coming from it..... I would recommend this!! ;D Happy birthday then Lee!!!! i have used this twice now and i have to say i am very impressed. I have a black GTi and its a bugger to get rid of water marks etc but the de-ionizing spray REALLY works!!! The starter kit reckons 3 washes but if u shampoo it properly it only really does 2, so already having to purchase a refill. Def a thumbs up from me though!
