yeah i hear what your saying, the cupra r is quicker as it weighs less and i can get say a 2003/04 one instead of a 2000/2001 s3 but im not 100% on the interior quality and styling... i know the audi/vw quality is spot on and im not sure Seat has that hence a list price of around £7k lower

another thing... the cupra costs more to insure than the s3!? dont ask why... think it must be due to claims history on each of the cars, load more boy racers in cupra's than s3's..
Muzzy, do you know what the difference is between the earlier 210 bhp ones and the current 225 bhp state of tune...? purely ecu based?

once spoke to some guy (a customer at work) and he had the cupra R and it was the 225bhp version, he mentioned its something bout the ECU that seat played with?? not entirely sure tho.
the same geezer also previously owned a racing puma, scooby STi PPP and a ST170.....so yeh he was a car enthusiast!

LeeXs - Its going great with the clio, I'm loving the extra power and the handling is superb. The other half was gutted when I got rid of the pug as she had her eye on it. Now see wants an XSI in moonstone, not that I mind as I still like pugs and IMHO the 206 is the best in the pug range. If she does get one I'll get her to join the forum, maybe she'll buy a sticker.

The handling is better but that's probably because I have the cup version which has a wider wheelbase and tyres and it sits lower than the normal 172/182's. Still, I took it easy for the first few months just to get used to the car and its only now I've started to make the most of the extra power and grip. Saying that I always thought the handling of my pug was good. No prangs yet, touch wood. Luckily most of the driving I do is motorway so I don't get much chance to throw it round the backroads much. I'm hoping to get to the FCS this year so I might bump into a few from this forum.

So you got a top of the range one then ;D
Good to hear you are enjoying it tho, I think it takes a few months to get used to a new car n e ways, get used to handling, overtaking, acceleration etc etc...
Thats good to hear!!
Throwing it around back roads is a must, now you know the cars potential it has to be done ;D ;D
