Good morning to all you 206 owners.
My wife wants to purchase a new 206 and i'm sure you will all say wise choice, however the variations in choice are mind boggling and if anyone can give us some advice ? This will almost certainly be an internet purchase (best price) and we have narrowed it down to a 1.4 8v or 1.4 16v and these are my questions.
1/ from the official peugeot website the se1.4 16v took our fancy and yet when we downloaded the brochure it doesnt mention this one, rather the lx/glx. why ?
2/ for the extra £500 or so is the 16v worth the extra.
3/ in the members opinion what model in the 1.4 range offers best value with regards to spec etc.
many thx in advance and I look forward to becoming a regular contributer.
Ian

Hi Dippy61, I have just taken delivery of my 206, I was going to buy via the internet ( jam jar , best price just before christmas ) then I went into my local dealer in Aberdeen and showed then the quote........ they matched it and gave me quite a few accessoiries as well , I may have been lucky as they had the exact model in and I even got free insurance ( and a few cups of coffee ! )

Hi ya! well i have the GTi 206 and i love it! If i was you i would get the extra 16v for £500, at the end of the day it will be that bit quicker and you might as well pay the £500 if your spending all the money on a new car anyway, if you can see my point! See Ya! Keith
