I've just took the pug this morning into the garage and they needed my spare key aswell as they said there were 2 recalls for my car, one for the brake pin and also another one that requires a download, does anyone know what this second recall is about???

Not heard anything about this, just collected the car yesterday from Peugeot as it had a major service and they never mentioned this second recall although they did replace the brake pin for me.

It is a 2001 model, so might of been something that was reported a couple of years ago I dunno.

When your motor goes in for Service, repairs or if you sell it on, the dealers are compelled to perform any recall or manufactuers upgrades on the car before they can release it back to you/someone else. When I got mine in June, Pug wrote to me saying that mine was subject to a recall for the ignition key getting stuck in ignition which could cause the starter motor to be engaged all the while. This recall/upgrade had already been performed by the dealer as part of their pre-sale checks and they had identified that the car had not undergone this check, so they did it before they sold it to me.

Has anyone had letters through for the recall yet, as I though dealers were meant to be contacting the affected drivers. I have a Y reg 2001 gti.
