according to 206 website associated with this site the 1.6 XSi is in insurance group 14, is that correct???
because on parkers.co.uk they have down as being in insurance group 5.
I am looking at buying an XSi, but wont if its in group 14

No, must be a typo - only GTi's are group 14, XSi's will definitely be a lower group.

When I upgraded from a 2 year old Punto Sporting 1.2 to a brand new XSi 1.6, I expected to pay a fair bit extra. But, my premium didn't change at all. However, the Peugeot brochure puts it in group 8 (which would have put my premium up, as the punto is group 7), whereas most magazines and motoring publications place it in group 5. It's definately not in group 14!
