I would very much like to have another 1.6i 16v airbox to butcher!
I need one so I can modify it and house a K&N cone filter inside it. Where can I get one? Can it be bought as an official part from the parts desk, and anybody got a clue as to how much one costs?
..btw I've consistently tried both ebay and the parts-gateway. Neither showed a positive result!

Pug will sell them but I have a feeling that they arnt going to be to cheap.
Arnt they any scrapyard's round your way it be worth a try just going round some this weekend.
Ps. I've just looked at the 1.6 16v engine, The airbox looks the same as they use on the smaller engine's like my 1.4. Have you tried a search for other models or did you just put in 1.6 16v.
Just a thought

actually yes, I think you are indeed correct! I'll try again in my search! Unfortunately I haven't a clue as to where there is a scrap yard in Geneva, let alone the rest of Switzerland. They seem to keep things like that hidden away, just like their money! As you say, Pug will probably bite my arm off if I ask them for one

Is it worth driving a little way a crossing into France to see if they can give a better price on new.
At least buying in France you won't be stung by the Swiss high taxes.

...yeah but my French is crap!! As for parts gateway, it is possible for them to ship to Switz... The taxes in Switzerland are lower than France +VAT is only 7.6%!! ...and the petrol too, infact I might buy a diesel next time as the fuel costs are even cheaper! Cheers for searching around for me pugwash, I will check out the website.
