how much u thinking of lowering your car? if its just springs, then it shouldnt cost too much for labour to fit the springs...... .....now good springs would be someting like eibach, these are the daddies of springs but also cost the most.......think about £85-100, dependent on where u buy from.......try this website....http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/ if ur gona lower it excessively then i suggest getting new shocks too.............or even maybe a complete suspension kit, koni (a very good brand for shocks) do one for £336.00 at www.larkspeed.com/labour will be about £100.00 - £150.00, depending on where you are based......and that estimate inc rear torsion bar too.

i am in the same situation as u dave, i also have 16s but am putting off lowering for the next 7 weeks as i am at uni and am sitting me final year exams.
dont just get cheap springs coz they are cheap, they are cheap for a reason....spend as much money as u can to get some decent springs.

Go for either eibach or koni mate!! Dont use and other make as these are not as good (unless you get Bilstien)!!
I am after a GTi soon and will be lowering it with a combination of eibach springs and koni dampers!! From what I have heard on here thats one of the best setups for the 206!!
