ello, got my 206 since a week now, cant drive it since i aint got no plates on it. was wonderin if its possible to turn of the eco-mode. usually it comes on when i am listenin to the stereo and the engine aint runnin(guess it tries to save up the battery). also i have a small thingy on the right mirrors bottom half. i think its related to the key remote or somethin. does that mean if i change the mirrors to the m3 style ones then i cant unlock the doors with the remote??

Eco mode (afaik) can only be disabled by the dealer. They need to modify a setting in the ECU
The little thing that hangs below one of the mirrors is the external temp sensor. If you change the mirrors you will have to either move it or put up with it showing the wrong values.

Personally I have found it more helpful than a hinderance. I have left things on in the car recently, mainly the inside light, and it has switched them off automatically.
Shame they couldn't have it so that there was a seperate radio setting in the ignition so that it stayed on when the eco mode kicks in.
Only way I can think of is to run a seperate lead from the battery to power the radio, this would get around the problem. I will however miss the radio turning on when I open the door in the morning and switching off when I lock the car. Saves alot of thought.

What are you meaing by eco mode? Are you reffering to the air controls with a climate control box? as eco means it's just using the heater and blowers without using the air con unit.
Unless you mean an eco mode that turns off the radio, like a powersave timeout option?

Saves alot of thought. it starts the radio when u open the door?? how? when?? in mine it just stops the radio and the thingy says"eco-mode" . i have to turn the engine back on to get the radio to play stuff again.

If you stop the car and get out with radio playing (e.g. Fill up with fuel) and then go & pay the radio will switch itself off after 2 minutes. When you open the door again to get in the radio will switch back on for you as you open the door.
Its a nice touch personally.

What manual?
Sorry, I found the manual in the glove compartment and it has stayed there since I found it. Never looked at it really, use the Haynes manual mostly even though its not for my year (2004 car, upto 2001 manual)
I found this by accident, as most things about my car.
