Ive owned this car for 7months and it has never even given me the slightest hint of a problem. Ive cared for it lovingly and I havnt battered it, and you can see how much time and money ive spent on it by reading through the 206 forum.

The paint work has the usual 206 minor chips on the bonnet. But they are very very minor and all 206's suffer from it. theres a small dent on the drivers door under the handle, but its not creased and just needs poping out (i was quoted £15 but havnt got round to it yet)

Im looking for £8200 and im open to sensible offers.

If ur intending to mod ur car, then u would have a perfect base as ive spared no expense at all and have all the receipts to show it. I paid £7500 for it 7 months back and its had a minimum of 5k spent on it in that time by me.

I am selling it for one single reason. Ive been offered a 2004 Bright Yellow Clio 182 Cup, 330 miles on the clock for 11k.
And ive pretty much set my heart on having it

That text language?? I though Reno built the Clio 172 then the 172 Cup version then replaced the 172 with the 182 Renault Sport version after Pug released the 180 and Seat the Ibiza FR.

So now they are building 182 Cup or you buying a normal 182 Renault Sport version - or am I off my trolley here??

Renaultsport 182 is the replacement for the Renaultsport 172. You can pay an extra £200 or £300 and get the 'cup' package which includes a wider track front and rear, a stiffer sidewall on the tyres, a lower ride height, stiffer springs and dampers and new steering geometry. Different colour wheels as well.

Got a Renault garage at the top of the road and went for a test drive a few weeks ago - very nice but I still can't get excited about the styling of the thing...

i prefer the alloys on the 172, they look more classier than on the 182........but the 182 has the nice exhaust layout which the 172 was lacking.

Its a decision made totally on performance wardy. I know shes a gorgeous motor, but i dont wanna reck the engine by making performance mods to it. They are never the same after. Much less problematic buying a fast standard car tbh

I almost bought a 172 cup recently before opting for my 206gti. It is a beast of a machine, lightened shell, thinner windows, no abs etc. Its so light it really puts the fun back into driving, absolutely blistering. The 182 was absolutely dead in comparison when i tried it, but i imagine adding the cup pack improves it in terms of handling (defo not performance though).
The reason i never opted for either was the looks (the 172 cup didnt even have sports seats lol), they dont look sporty enough and seem to like hiding the exhaust. at least you can get the sp pack for the 206.
So in the end shallow me went for the 206gti cos it looked better....sad really (other than that i am a fan of the clio cup) ;D
