This morning it was raining (not very signifigant i know) until i made it to my car got in and tried to drive... Then i remembered how much fun driving in trainers with metal pedals was! I must have slipped off the clutch twice before my trainers dried out enough to 'grip'

I know its a pain the the @rse. I always rub my left foot on the mat for I go anywhere.

bah i know its illegal but in those situations I just take me shoes off and drive barefoot of with socks on, got in the habit of that after going down the beach too much in the summer :/

nor did I until until one day I was giving my aunty a lift back from the beach and she told mentioned it, personally i find it more comfortable but thats cos im used to it now i guess

im sure i read it is not illegal, well i have done it before wen i drove in just my boxers coz i fell down a hill and was covered in mud

It isn't.
My wife is in the job........and doesn't know of a law mentioning appropriate footwear......or lack of it.
