God - I go out and leave forum for one nite and have 96 notification emails 2day - seems like the forum was well busy over nite!! A big thanks to Wardy, tried the link and works perfectly!! How good is that!! It would be good if you could contact that person M3 - I dont mind sorting out the orders and using my PayPal account etc!! Thats cool by me!! The etched glass effect looks wicked, I think at first we should get just one type - either side windows or back window!! Then if that works out we can go from there!! Those designs look gr8 Aj - will we be able to show that to the bloke M3 contacted and have him create them exactly like that? I think this is the best But could we try the info part in normal like the 206 part - i.e. not an outline - so it stands out more with the etched glass effect!! Well this seems to be goin really well!! We should have a few more visitors quite quickly!! Oh btw (may be a silly question - but have you set the meta tags wardy or Big so it find www.206info.co.uk ?) just a thought!!

I'll make up one more like you said Lee, then Ill make a larger image with them all, and number then, so that they can be used in a poll. Will get onto it when Im back at my flat And as for showing it to the guy, I dont know! M3, if you could ask the guy what requirements he would need to make the stickers, ie resolution and picture size, colours (He might want pure black and white etc) Ill make the final one up when the poll has had its say.

[quote author=LeeXS link=board=general&Oh btw (may be a silly question - but have you set the meta tags wardy or Big so it find www.206info.co.uk ?) just a thought!! [/quote] Well the domain forwards to the forum so the tags on this site will need to be changed... if this is possible with proboards I'm not so sure...

Although it forwards to this site, the forum is still within the html frame of the 206info.co.uk domain, if you look in the address bar it still says 206info.co.uk, so it will still be the meta tags in that frame that are relevent. If you bought an address that just forwards, it is unlikely that you can change or create the meta tags, as you wont have full html control over the content of that domain.
When a search engine looks for the meta tags, it would be looking for the tags in the html coding of the index page of 206info.co.uk, and that would be the page that came up on the results, then a user would be forwarded here.

Meta tag is a tag in the html coding of a page that contains keywords etc describing the page, its what search engines look for when finding new pages to display in their results.

Can't we just register the name with Google and let it go from there.

Im not sure what the process is of registering with search engines, Ive never done it before, but if you can then sure! I think there used to be a way to submit a URL for google to look at, but it would look at it and then find the meta tags in the page before adding it to the database, so without meta tags it wouldnt list it.

Well I have just added the URL to Google with lots of comments - i.e. 206, peugeot, 206 forum, 206 help.... etc etc
So it should take a few days maybe weeks for it to work - but because we have quite a high turn over it shouldnt take very long!!
As Aj said the meta tags are what search engines use to find a site you want. i.e. if you use this site the meta tags could be: 206, peugeot 206, 206 help, 206 forum....etc so when you type in google '206 help' then this URL is shown!!
People can register with Yahoo etc etc if you want!!

hmmmmmm, thats interesting, though it says the letters are only 2cm tall, I dont think thats big enough. Plus its limited to fonts, the 206 lettering isnt a font as such. They may be able to do a graphic if I sent them a Bmp or something, but I dont think they could do the size. Also, would that type of sticker be hard wearing enough for use on a car???
Just an update - Ive emailed that seller to ask if he/she could do the stickers, Ive said the size would probably be bigger than whats on offer there on that link, and ive asked for a rough price, bearing in mind we would want bulk. Will let you know if I get a reply.
