I have purchased some new blue tinted 400k philips bulbs for the pug, i can replace the smaller sidelights in the pod easily but can I get the complete pod out to replace the main beam bulb? I think not!!!
Has anyone got any info on how to do this please? I really want to change them and make the light more whiter/brighter.
Ta muchly!

Hi thewardster
Just been out to look at mine and It's just a big rubber boot that pull's of then you unclip the bulb.

Look at your car manual... it's easy(ish!)
The H7 type is the easiest IMO. It does depend on the which side you are removing though, as the left light unit (looking from the front of the car) is a little more difficult.
H7 - remove black plastic backing plate and unclip... easy... although the left hand unit is easier if you tug the windscreen wash funnel out, it gives a little more room.
H4 type lamps - the clips on these are more difficult to unclip (!) and can result in severe pressure related injuries to your fingers! pull off the rubber thing and all will be ok!

Yeah Adi had to go for the cheap option, especially now I had to fork out for the front left alloy too things aren't going my way BTW I dont have a manual hehe that;s how I didnt know, so I just pull that big rubber boot and the bulb housing comes out?

yeah, if you have the H4 (frosted type) then yes, just unplug the connector from the rear of the bulb, and then remove the rubber seal (just gently ease it off) and then unclip the clip!!
Like I say the H4 type clip is a real pregnant dog to unclip, although it does vary from car to car. Just push the clip in and apply pressure the left or right and then pull it back. You'll understand what I mean when you take a look.
....like I said, you'll find it easier if you remove the funnel first, as it gives you a little more space to work in. Just be careful not to drop anything in the washer reservoir, dirt, bulbs etc! As you will clog the wash system up.
