I have a small oil leak which shows up on the 2 power steering pipes which run under flywheel housing at back of engine. I am not losing any power steering fluid. I don't think it is coming out of drive shaft seals on diff. Any ideas anyone.

It could be your rear main oil seal which is inside the bell housing,
it is the seal behind the flywheel, its the seal on the end of the crankshaft.
if that is leaking you will have to take the gearbox out, clutch, and flywheel to get to the seal.

And if it is thats that gone, get them to change the clutch etc at the same time as it will all be out of the car, deff sounds like it to me from the description you have given.
One thing, make sure you have not got the leak around the top of the engine and its running around the bell housing.

This sounds scary I'll need to get under car and take proper look. But if oil was leaking from crank, would it not contaminate clutch.

Was under car today. Leaking oil looks different from engine oil - it looks cleaner??. Still cannot see where it is coming from.

If its different then there are only a few places it could be comming from
1) Engine (seem to have ruled that out) 2) Power steering 3) Gearbox
telling the difference between 2 & 3 just by the oil is difficult. My old escort used the same oil for both.
It could be the input seal on the gearbox has gone, never known one to go though, oil would trickle down the bell housing but only when the gearbox was in use & more at high speeds.
I would suggets you check the oil level in the gearbox.

Oil in gearbox comes up to just below filler plug so this looks ok. Car is going into garage on Friday to check. Will post when I know whats wrong.

Garage cleaned all around bottom / back of engine but couldn't find any leaks. Fair enough, but they are Honda dealers and they don't know the Peugeot's quirks. Their customer service is far better than Peugeot. I've to take car straight back if leak reappears. (as I think it will!)

Well thats good they've cleared it up!! I know they are honda but surely most engines are designed in a similar way so they would know what to look for!!
Hope it gets sorted!!

They admitted to me that because it is warranty work, they have to go thro' sequence of checks starting with cheaper fixes. Bit like Peugeot.

Yes, it's under warranty. (the clutch isn't unless it has been contaminated).

Well, glad they found it. I hope (in the nice way) the clutch has oil on it (free replacement).

Got car back today. Leak wasn't from crank seal. It was from gearbox input shaft seal. garage got price for clutch from Peugeot, £198. My clutch was still ok so just left it.
