i took it to pug expained to head chief tech guy he goes yep its the servo... £200 quid later servo changed, brake vac hose, amplifier gasket and its driving on air since... pug @ first couldnt figure it out so i took it to my genious mechanic and he told me its that... the man lives and breathes french cars and it took him 5 mins to find out for free...while pug had the car all morning and charged me for it....
and yes my brakes were hard to press down after a while and did start to force back up when it got worse while at the same time calipers were ceasing more n more...
fine now....

Bit confused now as to what to do. Both possiblilities seem logical. The situation as it stood was that after about half hours driving the pedal does not move much before the brakes start to come on.The pedal does not become hard to press just that it is definitely different and braking comes on skightly earlier than normal. I am not getting any noise or binding at the moment but i am not using it much due to work.I am now working all weekend so i will not get around to it. Other than that the brakes are working as normal. I have not had any squealing from the brakes at all it was just that they were rubbing slightly on the front offside disc when i jacked it up and when i first had the trouble i had two occassions when a sound like a helicopter, the only way i can describe it, came through the car. Both times after only driving for about ten minutes. I have not had any noise from the brakes since the dealer took them apart to look for the problem. The servo sounds like the answer as if it was a caliper would not the brakes pull to one side ? Since i "adjusted" the interlock switch i have not had the trouble at all but i don't think that i have gone far enough for it to happen so i think this is wishfull thinking. Many thanks to you guys for your help.

Just an update for anyone still looking. The pedal pressure still changes after about 20 minutes driving but i am not sure if i am getting any brakes binding or not as there is no noise although i think it could pull better but it could also be imagination knowing that i have a problem. It seems logical that the servo is involved as parking for a while drops the pedal pressure again and it soon returns after driving for a while. I think that its another trip to the Pug dealer and hopefully they will have someone who recognises the symptoms. But am i kidding myself

Well the only way you can stop worrying is by getting them to check it over, they should find something wrong with it, but you have to tell them the vehicle has to be driven for at least 20mins for the faults accure. because otherwise they will check it cold and they wont find anything wrong with it, Good luck
